2009 RUTHERFORD PERSPECTIVE CABERNET SAUVIGNON

A five barrel selection from our home vineyard, this proud, feisty 2009 Cabernet has a dusty blackberry nose of considerable proportion that yields to dried plums, cedar, and a compendium of sweet mixed spices featuring star anise.   The flavors are bold and plush with a velvet interior –overall the impression is one of rounded elegance.   We recommend a purchase of at least three bottles: one for tomorrow’s decanter, one for a dinner party in a year or two, one for much longer aging in your cellar.
